The Legal Translation Company (LTC) is proud of its worldwide network of legal translators. Each LTC translator (1) holds at least one graduate degree such as a Juris Doctorate, Legum Magister (Master of Laws) or Ph.D., (2) has work experience relevant to the subject-matter they are translating, (3) is certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) or equivalent body, (4) ranks in the top 5% of linguists who have taken our internal exams, (5) has proven to be responsive, talented, and committed to the projects they undertake.

Native Tongue Translators: Our legal translators translate into their native languages. This ensures that the final translation sounds natural to your foreign language target readers, as if the document had been originally written in the target language.
Native Tongue Linguists: Not all translators are linguists. Officially, a linguist holds an advanced degree in linguistics. LTC hires qualified native tongue linguists to coordinate with our certified translators to provide our teams with uncommon linguistic accuracy.
Screened and Tested Legal Translators: We carefully screen and test each member of our language team before they are admitted to LTC. Their references and sample work are scrutinized and we test their industry-specific expertise using proprietary in-house linguistic testing systems. Further, our translators and linguists must be competent in our most important quality assurance software applications.
Technologically Empowered: LTC's project management system allows translators and other team members to coordinate their efforts with one another with uncommon agility. They share translation glossaries, industry-specific glossaries, and specialized legal, medical, and technical dictionaries.
Responsive Teams: We are able to build translation teams quickly to support even the largest projects with the fastest turnaround times.
Extra Care in Translator Quality Control: We perform reverse translation tests on random samples from each project. In short, we extract segments from each document along with their matching translations. We send the translated segments to a quality control linguist who attempts to reverse the translation without seeing the original. The quality control linguist compares their reverse translation to the original to determine whether the translation conveys the meaning, context, style, and tone found in the source document.
